Global Elite Gathering in D.C.
posted on May 5, 2008By James P. Tucker Jr.
Trilateral Commission members want suffering U.S. taxpayers to shell out even more money ...The Trilateral Commission--one of the three most powerful globalist groups in the world--held closed-door meetings right here in Washington, D.C. from April 25 to 28. True to form, those members of the media who knew about the meeting--or were themselves participants in the proceedings--refused to discuss what went on inside or report on the attendees. Luckily, AFP's own editor, Jim Tucker, was on the scene to bust this clandestine confabulation wide open.

Politicizing Pain

K.K. Forss does not claim medical marijuana solves all his problems. His pain from a ruptured disc in his neck is debilitating. He is unable to go to work or to the First Baptist Church he used to attend because of the pain and muscle spasms. Taxpayers through Medicare spend over $18,000 a year on his various medications. Half of those drugs are strong narcotics. The other half address the various side-effects brought on by the first half, such as nausea, heartburn, heart palpitations, difficulty sleeping, and muscle spasms.

A New 95 Theses
posted on April 17, 2008Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg, the public bulletin board of his day. In like manner, we, Athanasius and Chrysostom, post these 95 theses on the door of the internet. Like the original theses, these are debatable, for we believe that it is through vigorous debate that the spirits are tested and truth is revealed.
In publishing these theses, we do not intend to foment division, but to expose those who are creating division within the body of Christ. We are not addressing any particular church body or person, but invite all who love the Gospel of Jesus Christ to engage in this debate. We do so in the spirit of the great Reformer, Martin Luther, as we implore the mercies of God upon His Church, for the sake of Jesus Christ, the Lord of the Church and Bishop of our souls.

The Emerging Surveillance State

by Congressman Dr. Ron Paul (R-TX)
Last month, the House amended the 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) to expand the government’s ability to monitor our private communications. This measure, if it becomes law, will result in more warrantless government surveillance of innocent American citizens.
Though some opponents claimed that the only controversial part of this legislation was its grant of immunity to telecommunications companies, there is much more to be wary of in the bill. In the House version, Title II, Section 801, extends immunity from prosecution of civil legal action to people and compan...

What's Going on in the LCMS?
posted on April 6, 2008It appears that confessional Lutheranism in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) is under attack, from within. Though largely speculative, outward appearances point to the purposeful disintegration of traditional Lutheranism, and perhaps sound doctrine as well, to attitudes and heretical doctrines of the 'emerging church'. It seems the leadership in the LCMS is taking us towards a "Purpose Driven' style of worship when our sole 'purpose' is supposed to be to "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you... Student Sues Wisconsin School After Getting a Zero for Religious Drawing
posted on April 2, 2008FOX News Apr. 1, 2008
MADISON, Wis. - A Tomah High School student has filed a federal lawsuit alleging his art teacher censored his drawing because it featured a cross and a biblical reference.
The lawsuit alleges other students were allowed to draw "demonic" images and asks a judge to declare a class policy prohibiting religion in art unconstitutional.
"We hear so much today about tolerance," said David Cortman, an attorney with the Alliance Defense Fund, a Christian legal advocacy group representing the student. "But where is the tolerance for religious beliefs? The whole purpose of art is to reflect your own personal experience. To tell a student h...

Ron Paul: Disband NATO
posted on April 2, 2008This is Ron Paul’s statement before the US House of Representatives on House Resolution 997 (4-1-08), 'expressing the strong support of the House of Representatives for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization to enter into a Membership Action Plan with Georgia and Ukraine.'
"Mr. Speaker, I rise in opposition to this resolution calling for the further expansion of NATO to the borders of Russia. NATO is an organization whose purpose ended with the end of its Warsaw Pact adversary. When NATO struggled to define its future after the Cold War, it settled on attacking a sovereign state, Yugoslavia, which had neither invaded nor threatened any NATO member state.

Ron Paul On Money, Inflation and Government
posted on March 31, 2008(PressMediaWire) March 30, 2008 Congressman Ron Paul stated - These past few weeks have provided an unfortunate opportunity to discuss inflation. The dollar index has reached new all-time lows. The total money supply, M3, as calculated by private sources, is growing at a disturbing 17% rate. The Fed is pumping dollars into the economy at an alarming rate. Just recently the Fed announced new loan auctions totaling $100 billion. That is new money created from thin air. If these money auctions, combined with the bailout of Bear Stearns, continue to be the trend, we are in for some economic stormy weather. The explanation lies in understanding the basics of money, and why it is da...

"The occupation of Iraq began five years ago today, but few realize that the march to war began ten years ago under Bill Clinton, when regime change became official U.S. policy. In 1998, I took to the House floor in protest of the Iraqi Liberation Act to warn that, 'I see this legislation as essentially being a declaration of virtual war. It is giving the President tremendous powers to pursue war efforts against a sovereign Nation.' My warnings were largely dismissed at the time, but five years l...

US Troops backed Paul during primaries; media ignored him

"If the American people ever allow the banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation, and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property, until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power of money should be taken from banks and restored to Congress and the people to whom it belongs. I sincerely believe the banking institutions having the issuing power of money, are more dangerous to liberty than standing armies." ~ Thomas Jefferson

Lutheran High School Ruling Involving Gay Students Could Set Precedent

(Jan. 22 2008) In what could eventually become a statewide precedent, a Riverside County judge has found no legal basis for a lawsuit brought on behalf of two girls kicked out of California Lutheran High School for an alleged lesbian relationship, it was reported Saturday.
Judge Gloria Trask found the girls' discrimination lawsuit had no legal basis under California's anti-discrimination laws.
Attorneys for the two unnamed girls said California’s laws prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation in business settings. But the judge did not agree.

Constitutional Responses to Terrorism

It has been over 6 years since the atrocities of September 11 were committed and there are still some very basic measures that need to be taken to bring the perpetrators to justice and make America safer. I have proposed legislation to help with these efforts and will continue to fight in Congress for the safety and security of the American people.
My legislation entitled The Marque and Reprisal Act of 2007 (HR 3216) makes the surgical strike option available to the President in our mission to capture Bin Laden. Our military has been pursuing him without result for far too long now, and it is high time ALL constitutional tools wer...

At the ABC Debate on Saturday night, the moderator asked the Republicans about how they would address an issue truly affecting nearly every American almost daily--rising gas prices.
The other candidates talked about things like alternative fuels, getting us off the dependence on foreign oil, increasing investment in technology. They also "addressed" the issue of gas prices by talking about global warming and greenhouse gases, how the oil companies were paying more to protect themselves in lawsuits than on research, and how high gas prices helped fund terroris...
